Dr. Kathi Helwig, founder and owner of the Neighborhood Animal Hospital, has been a practicing veterinarian since 1990. She specializes in helping families and neighbors take great care of their four-legged family members. She is always happy to give advice on the best ways to keep your pets healthy and happy as well as as providing excellent medical treatment to get your friends feeling better as soon as possible. Dr. Helwig has two dogs, three cats, two kids (in college right now) and a husband who is a graphic designer, front desk receptionist, and sometime web designer. |

Susan Bishop is our clinic's Veterinary Technician. Her love for animals shows in the care she provides our patients. When she is at home, Susan raises award-winning American Pitbull Terriers and has four dogs and two cats. |

Bill Helwig, the doctor's husband, who can most often be seen on Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons holding down the front counter, also fills in the work schedule when needed and helps out in various ways to keep the clinic operating smoothly. |
